DEC 2020 Macquarie University climbed to 195 in the 2021 Times Higher Education world university rankings.  This result consolidates Macquarie University’s position in the top 1% of universities worldwide.  Our rise in this year’s rankings was driven by an increase in our quality research output, recognition by academic colleagues, and employers’ positive regard for our graduates.  “The result is testament to Macquarie University’s true research impact and global reputation” said Vice-Chancellor Professor S. Bruce Dowton.

DEC2020 Macquarie wins AFR’s Higher Education Award for employability.  Macquarie University has won the Employability Award at the Australian Financial Review (AFR) Higher Education Awards for preparing students for the world of work Through the revamp of the Bachelor of Arts degree. 

OCT2020 Master of Business Administration (MBA) ranks in the top 100.  We are delighted to announce that Macquarie Business School’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) has moved up in ranking from the previous year, breaking into the top 100 globally.  This year, Macquarie Business School also submitted three more of its postgraduate courses to QS for ranking consideration.  All three have been ranked in the top 50 globally.  The Master of Commerce (Marketing) is ranked 19th, Master of Applied Finance ranked 32nd and Master of Management ranked 49th globally.  These results mean that the Master of Commerce (Marketing) and Master of Applied Finance are both ranked 1st in Australia.
